Landing Gently Amidst Thorns

Live out each day in humility, gentleness, and patience. Touch others with the love of Christ.

Lord, I pray I walk humbly with You, today. Help me to think of others as I go through my day. Some people are just thorns in my flesh and downright difficult to love. Help me to land gently amidst the thorns and learn to love unconditionally.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Marsha, this is a timely word. I have a woman I have dealt with for years, and a couple of days ago received a troubling card in the mail. I have to call her today, and get some understanding on her complaints. Our church, and her own family have bestowed a tremendous amount of ministry on her behalf. Her basic problem is that she wants it all to come from the leaders she desires to pay attention to her because it makes her feel more significant. I keep thinking of the phrase that, "I can be clear without being cruel, but I can't be honest without being clear." Asking for wisdom and gentleness.
