Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
St. Francis of Assisi - 13th century
So much heartache and turmoil in this world that is groaning for peace. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. There are days I feel like the world is imploding around me. And so I... Stop.... Breathe... Focus.... Pray.... Lord, come fill my heart with Your peace... I can't bring peace to the world as a whole, but this... this one thing I can do by Your grace....

Thank you for this morning moment of contemplation....Jesus is our peace, removing all dividing walls of hostility, and calling us to do the same in his name. What a beautiful song, Marsha, to remind us what it looks like.
