Welcome to week 2 of the Thankful Thursday Link-Up here at Marsha's Musings! I'm so very blessed and honored that you've chosen to join me in giving thanks and praise to God this week. Please read the introductory post found here. It lays the ground work for what this link-up is about and how we're going to build this community through our thankful posts.

I want to start off with an apology. I did not get around to everyone's blog last week. We had company for 4 days - for which I'm very thankful, and then the week took off running for me. I'm working on 2 writing projects and I've neglected my own blog this week. I will get caught up today.

This week's Thankful Thursday

If you've ever visited my blog, you know I love to take pictures. I don't have a super duper camera with lots of lenses, but the one I have is a step above a regular point and shot. This week I thought I'd share photos that speak to what I'm thankful for.

This week I'm thankful for the beautiful flowers of Spring I've been able to enjoy this week.

I'm thankful for the rain we've had. It was just enough to make the small streams overflow beautifully.... that's kind of how my heart feels this week, like a stream overflowing with joy.

But I'm also thankful for the beautiful blue sky we had Wednesday. It was like a call to worship for me while I was out taking pictures in Cades Cove, part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's only an hour from my home so I get to go often. It's one of my favorite places on earth. I'm thankful for our National Parks. They're a true treasure.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to watch Mama bears with their cubs. It's amazing to me how they have several tender vocal sounds they use to communicate with their babies - and that they vocalize back. They know if they're to climb higher in the tree or come down just by the tone Mama bear uses. It was wondrous to watch.

And I'm thankful for the reminders of transformation and hope that butterflies are to me.

Love this. Beautiful pictures. We love the mountains and Cade's Cove but have never been fortunate enough to get a good picture of a bear while there. You definitely speak my language. We will be there in October :)

I attend a conference every October. Our tentative dates are October 4-9...as long as it lines up with school Fall break. It usually does. We usually stay at a condo on the strip because it's walking distance to the convention center. I will message you. :)

Wow, how wonderful to behold the sight of a Mama Bear with her cubs! I love your observations about their interactions too, just amazing. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos of God's creation and giving us the chance to experience a slice of nature when we can't always get out to appreciate it ourselves. Have a wonderful weekend!
